Founded in 1775 by John Aynsley in Lane End, Longton, Staffordshire, Aynsley China Ltd. has produced fine British bone china tableware, giftware, and commemorative items. Through various acquisitions, Aynsley joined the Waterford/Wedgwood brand in 1987 and then sold to Ireland's Belleek Pottery Group in 1997. Aynsley has been a favored supplier of the British Royal Family–both Queen Elizabeth II and Diana, Princess of Wales, chose Aynsley as wedding presents from the British china industry.
